NEW PATIENTS
Warwick General Practice welcomes new patients. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your first appointment to complete the registration form. For the first time registration, please bring Valid Medicare Card and Photo ID. Please also bring Health Care Card, DVA Card or Concession Card if you have one.
PRACTICE FEES
Our practice is a MIXED BILLING practice, effective from 1st JUNE 2024.
However, we are committed to maintaining BULK-BILLING for the following groups:
- Children under 16
- DVA (Department of Veterans' Affairs) patients
- Health Care Card & Pension Card Holders
Please call us for further information about our GP consultation fees.
Cancellation Policy:
If you are unable to attend to your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that your appointment may be given to another patient who is in need of the doctor's care. It is required at least 2 hours to cancel or re-schedule an appointment.
If less than 2 hours’ notice is given, you will be charged a late notice fee of $20.
If you do not attend an appointment without prior notice, you will be charged a missed appointment fee of $35.
Standard Consultation Fees (face to face GP visits):
Short consult (Less than 6 minute): $70 (Rebate $18.95)
Standard consult (10-15 minutes) : $90 (Rebate $41.40)
Long consult (20-30 minutes) : $140 (Rebate $81.10)
Mental Health Treatment Plan: $150 (Rebate $100.20)
Mental Health Plan Review: $140 (Rebate $78.95)
Standard Consult (Weekend) : $100 (Rebate $41.40)
Long Consult (Weekend) : $150 (Rebate $81.80)
Telephone Consultation Fees:
Short consult (less than 6 minutes) : $70 (Rebate $18.95)
Standard consult (6 minutes or more) : $90 (Rebate $41.40)
Administration Fee:
Medical record transfer fee may be applicable if you would like to request your medical records to be transferred to another medical practice.
Non-medicare rebatable consultations:

Pre-employment medical assessment and related investigations
Pre travel consultation
Driver license medical (private and commercial)

Out of pocket expanse may be applicable for certain procedures as below:
Ingrown toe nail resection: $150
skin Procedures on body (including suturing, I&D, excision, mole or cyst removal): $150
iron infusion : $160
Wound dressing with consumable: $35 (Subsequent: $20)
ECG: $45
Removal of Suture (procedure was done elsewhere): $50
Contraceptive Implant (Implanon) removal or insertion: $110
Removal of Staples: $50
IUD (Mirena) removal: $110

Warwick General Practice provides a service where you may receive a SMS, phone call or letter reminding you of
- Recent investigation results
- Routine preventative health checkups (eg. 45-Years old Health Assessment, Heart Health Check)
- Medical reviews (eg. Diabetes review)
- Screening (eg. Cervical Cancer Screening, Mammogram)
- Immunisation (eg. Routine Childhood Immunisations)
COMPLAINTS
Your feedback is appreciated for the continued improvement of our practice. You are welcome to provide any feedback by completing the Feedback Form available at the reception desk. If you wish to make a complaint about any aspect of our services, please speak to your doctor directly first. If this fails to resolve the issue, you can contact our practice manager directly via email. REQUEST FOR SCRIPTS, MEDICAL CERTIFICATES, INVESTIGATION REQUEST FORMS & REFERRALS
Please make an appointment for repeat scripts, medical certificates or referrals. Please be informed that medical certificates cannot be backdated.
PRIVACY
Warwick General Practice is committed to protecting our patients’ privacy according to the Privacy Act. The practice uses a computerised, paperless system. Access to computer records containing your medical information is restricted to medical staff. All hard copies of patient documents disposed of in a secure manner, after scanned and stored in the patient medical record database. A hard copy of our Privacy Policy is available on request at the reception.
